How to Choose a Cleaning Company...

One of the most important decisions that a facility manager has to make is: who should you give access to enter your facility after hours?

How do you decide which company is right for you? Even though there are thousands of janitorial companies out there, the same evaluation criteria apply to all of them.
There are a couple of things that you need to find out before making the decision.

1. Does the company carry all the necessary insurance? (Bella recommends at least a 1 million dollar liability policy and Workers Comp coverage)
   
2. Is the company licensed or registered with local and state agencies?
   
3. Is the company staff trained and knowledgeable in the field and is following the latest in chemicals, equipment, and cleaning methods through continuous education?
   
4. Can they provide a list of references that will prove stability in the industry? (They must have the ability to provide services for you on a consistent basis).
   
5. Do they employ quality control practices in their operations?
   
6. Is the company trustworthy? (i.e. Is a member of BBB?)

These are just the fundamental things you need to consider when hiring a cleaning company. Of course, there is a lot more to take into account i.e. should you pick a small, medium, or big national company?
